Know Before You Buy - Neighburly Decorative Doormats
Size Variation
Size Variation - The manufacturing process subjects our mats to a variation in size of up to 5%. For example, if 21.75” x 34” is the listed size of the item, it could come out as small as 20.7” x 32.3” or as large as 22.8” x 35.7”.
Printing on Irregular Surfaces
Neighburly mats have a beautiful Berber-like texture to them that makes them both beautiful and functional for helping scrape dirt and debris from shoes. But printing on this uneven surface texture has its challenges. The ink tends to spread unevenly because the surface isn’t flat, so someareas may receive more ink while others may receive less, causing the print to appear fuzzy or less defined. This is hardly noticeable in larger areas, but in smaller/tighter printing (like small letters or numbers) it can be more visible. We try to showcase this in the zoom images in the photo carousel. If perfectly crisp stencil-like lines are important to you, Neighburly may not be the right product for you.
Color Variation
Neighburly mats are printed in batches. While our printing process is consistent, there are variables beyond our control (like temperature and humidity) that can cause slight variations in color from one print batch to the next. If you want multiples of a particular mat, it’s best to order them at the same time. Ordering the same mat days, weeks, or months apart will mean the mats are printed in different “batches” which increases the chance for color variation.
Vinyl Floors?
Our mats feature high-quality rubber backing to aid in both durability and performance. Rubber is safe more most floor types including hardwoods, ceramic and porcelain tile, natural stone, concrete, and some vinyl. If you have vinyl flooring (LVT/LVP, sheet vinyl, vinyl tile), please refer to your manufacturer’s care guide. Some vinyl flooring contains plasticizers that may leach out over time and react with rubber and other substances which could result in discoloration. If your flooring manufacturer instructs you to specifically avoid rubber, we encourage you to heed their warning.
